Abstract

Research associates pain self-efficacy (PSE) and chronic pain acceptance (CPA) with quality of life (QoL). This study explored this in endometriosis. Data from online self-report questionnaires from people (N=468) with endometriosis with or without comorbidities were analysed using hierarchical multiple regression. PSE and CPA both associated with QoL. Those with comorbidities reported greater pain and lower QoL, but interactions with PSE and CPA did not significantly increase variance explained. PSE and CPA explained greater variance in associations with pain-related QoL than overall health-related QoL. This suggests PSE and CPA associate with QoL in endometriosis.
